Hello Everyone,
I came across this form while searching for another form and thought it may work here as a prompt. The form is called nonet. A nonet has nine lines. The first line has nine syllables, the second line eight syllables, the third line has seven syllables and so on until the last line which has one syllable. It can be on any subject and rhyming is optional. They usually have title.
line 1 - syllables line 2 - 8 syllables line 3 - 7 syllables line 4 - 6 syllables line 5 - 5 syllables line 6 - 4 syllables line 7 - 3 syllables line 8 - 2 syllables line - 1 syllable

I will work on mine and post it later. I hope many of you will give it a try!!

Hey Cyndi,
I love these! I write them on occasion, I think they are fun to write. Here is one I wrote today:
Old Man on Balcony
robin tries to fly with broken wing heavy raindrops descend from sky old man sits on balcony petting calico cat postman passes by there’s no mail yet again for the old man[/size]

I have never heard of these, I don’t think? Good job Lisa! It’s sad how some older people have no one in their lives.
I think I may give it a try too, thanks for the prompt Cyndi…

Beneath Petals and Fragrance
I roam slowly by a running stream
where there dewy grass sighing reed
butterfly hover a blade
some flowers snuggle bees
fields of rose petals
fell over night
lay me down
bury me
deep

Love yours, Lisa! !so sad but true...there is an older woman in my building that never gets any mail or visitors, I always take the time to talk with her at least once a week.
