RISE
raindrops descend from mauve-gray sky
angry winds rustle oak tree leaves
foot heels echo on damp asphalt
broken soul hungers for absolution
from sins long since forgotten
beyond horizon clouds dissipate
sun begins to rise

good tone...I like the quiet emotion you use to convey the message of your poem, that no matter how bad life gets a new day will bring some sense of relief, great write!
